When visiting Rome this year you are invited to visit the Explora museum, where you will encounter a photo exhibition of the ZigZag project that was held last year in Amsterdam, Rome and Sofia. The best photos of the three locations have been selected and printed on a big canvas on display at the museum. The opening of the exhibition is on 30 January 2015 and the photos can be seen for the rest of the year.
There is also an online photo exhibition.
Within ZigZag, three collective textile artworks were made by the children, artists, designers and staff of various museums. This happened at three free public events in the Netherlands, Bulgaria and Italy. In preparation for these events, the children learned more about the various (technical) aspects of textiles in twelve educational sessions. The event in Amsterdam took place at the Nieuwmarkt on 5 September 2014.
