Job SpieringsOperations Director

Job Spierings is Operations Director at Waag Futurelab. His responsibilities include the project management and internal processes of the organisation. Next to this, he specialises in coordination, process design, team development and transition management. Within the domain of team management and development, Job focuses on empowerment, flexibility and imagination.

Previously, Job was Head of Code Programme at Waag (which at the time consisted of the Future Internet Lab, Smart Citizens Lab and Commons Lab). Here, he has led research projects in the fields of digitisation of heritage collections, digital identity, participatory policy development and guidelines for algorithms.

Job is experienced in bringing together, motivating and supporting driven specialists in their work and he has extensive knowledge of innovation, and product and concept development for social technology. Job studied musicology at the Utrecht University and subsequently worked as an artist manager and managing director.
