Internship production & public programme

Waag Society researches, develops and questions creative technology for social innovation, based on our values fair, open and inclusive. Together with citizens, artists, scientists and hackers we organize projects and programmes with more than 50 employees to help us to master technology. At the historical Waag building in Amsterdam, we organize meet-ups, academies and expos. We work in an international setting.

To support our public programme we are looking for an intern production and public programme. As an intern, you will be part of the production team and assist the head of programme and the producer in preparing and executing our multifaceted activities; from workshops and expositions to lectures, meet-ups and other formats.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Supporting the preparations of events and public activities.
  • Help thinking about the development of programmes, with an emphasis on converting ideas into formats.
  • Creating scripts and inform all stakeholders of their role and responsibility.
  • Helping with the production of various events and independently running (small) workshops.
  • Collaborate with the communication staff on the promotion of events.

Experience and skills needed

  • A practical, independent and creative attitude
  • Having a drivers license is an advantage

During this internship you will learn about the development and production of many activities within a varied environment. The minimum period for this internship is 4 months, with a minimum of 3 days per week. You will receive a monthly stipend of € 300, based on 40 hours per week.
