Waag Society has an active internship policy and regularly has opportunities available at different places within the organisation. For the coming period we have five places available in the field of communication (Dutch required), production & programme, social innovation for sustainability, creative coding and community building.
For all our internships applies that we offer a place where you can learn a lot in a short period and where you work in a young, dynamic and flexible environment. You have a responsible task with enough room for creativity and initiative. We always offer interns a stipend of 300 euro a month (based on a 40 hour per week contract). Three of our current five internships are internationally orientated.
Max Kortlander about his internship at the Future Internet Lab of Waag Society:
"My internship at Waag Society threw me right into the world of current innovation. Working with team Code, I encountered people and projects from multiple fields around Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and the EU. The internship gave me a strong sense of what's out there, and where I can move next to follow my professional interests in sociotechnical projects.
But I didn't just learn about my own field — I also got a chance to check out all that the Waag Society has to offer, from helping with an urban planning project, to operating a self-driving car, to being introduced to new types of biodegradable materials. The experience came along with a great, enthusiastic team that made me feel right at home, and a beautiful setting to work in.
Two thumbs up, 10/10, would do it again in a heartbeat!"
