Waag Society developed 'Whiskers': objects that remotely connect people in a playful way.
A set of Whiskers consists of two elegant objects with a long 'reed', that are on two different location. Moving the reed on one location will also set the other in motion, as the pair is connected over the Internet. The installation enable people to communicate with motion - there are different possibilities to let the reeds move, from suble movements to long sweeps.
The Whiskers prototype was designed and created by the Creative Care Lab at Fablab Amsterdam. This prototype was developed within the project Touch of the Dutch COMMIT programme.
