On 22 February 2014, the International Open Data Day will be held again. At this day, the aim is to bring together teams in the 38 largest cities of The Netherlands to join the Dutch open data community of developers, designers, entrepreneurs, citizens and organisations.
Last year, more than 100 cities participated worldwide, 4 of these located in The Netherlands. In March 2013, 30 of the 38 largest cities in our country signed the ‘Convenant Smarter Cities’ of the Digital Cities Agenda. It contained a commitment and actions regarding open data in the field of education, energy, participation, self-reliance and business.

There will be no event at the Waag this year, but we support Open Data Day with our CitySDK API, Apps for Europe, and Open Data Forward (see projects below).
