Landscape milling at the Fablab

Fablab Amsterdam is closed for the summer, or not…

Architect Christopher de Vries (of Rademacher & de Vries), maybe known to those of you that are familiar with the Amsterdecks project, is milling an art work showing four beautiful reliefs of an old mine in Southern Limburg. The work is part of a large scale project, opening up the old mine to the public (the ENCI transformation plan). The work will be part of a manifestation organized by Bureau Europe, opening in September.

Christopher was actually Fab trained by Neil Gershenfeld himself, so this is an awesome way to rent out our big milling machine (cnc) during summertime. Looking forward to seeing the end result!
