Sabine Wildevuur of Waag will join the Design4Health 2018 conference in Sheffield (UK). She will lead the co-design session Open Healthcare on Tuesday September 4th (16:30-18:00), introducing the Careables platform developed within the Made4You project.
Design4Health brings together designers and creative practitioners with researchers, clinicians, policy makers and users to discuss, disseminate and test their approaches and methods. Together we explore creative approaches and perspectives to enhance understanding and experience, and improve efficiency of health and wellbeing services and products.
The events provide an opportunity to reflect on how the disciplines of Design and Health might develop new ways of thinking and working, and how we might impact positively and sustainably on the social, economic and cultural factors within our communities and beyond.
Design4Health2018 is hosted once again by Sheffield Hallam University. The Design4Health conferences have developed out of the work that researchers in Lab4Living (an initiative at the Art and Design and Health and Social Care Research Centres at Sheffield Hallam University) have been doing over the last 5 years. Researchers have been exploring the relationship between design, and health and wellbeing.
