Apps like Facebook and Instagram (automatically) keep track of the places you've been. But it doesn't really tell us a story.
During Nuit Blanche on 28 September 2013, Waag lets you tell your personal story. Create your own graphic of important places (like the places you visited), and let it lasercut in earrings by Fablab Amsterdam, or print it on a T-shirt. In the meanwhile we will fill the old weigh house with music.
You are just three steps away of creating your own, unique cool product:
- Think of the story you would like to use;
- Trace your story on the map with the software we have developed;
- Directly print your design using the machines of the Fablab.
Waag already printed out some stories, which are on display in the Waag.
About Nuit Blanche
This 12 hour-night out is an annual celebration by the Amsterdam Underground & Avantgarde. The program is a cross section of what happens outside the paved cultural roads in the city and offers creators and fresh ideas a platform. We will display fine arts, location theatre, activism, co-creation, science, food, music in the heart of the city. The chemistry between locations and creators will make it an unforgettable night.
