"A Fairphone Bootcamp? Is that living in a tent for three days and building a phone from sticks? No, but what is it?! I didn’t know what to expect exactly, but I knew that we’d be imagining the future of the Fairphone design."

Industrial Designer Maarten Hertog joined our three day Bootcamp and wrote a blog about it. Read his entire story at faiphone.com or check out our pictures. During the Bootcamp, Waag's concept developer Astrid van Roij-Lubsen and FairPhone's Bas van Abel were interviewed for the Belgian tv-show Terzake.

About the Design Bootcamp
Waag and FairPhone organized a design bootcamp in May 2013 that focussed on the complexities around mobile phone design, production and the supply chain. During three days, design teams worked towards proposals and prototypes for the fair phone of the future. The bootcamp closed with a release party where an exhibition of the prototypes was presented to a larger audience and the press.
