Stephanie de SmaleIntern

Stephanie de Smale was a research intern at the Waag’s Open Wetlab during her study New Media & Digital Culture at the University of Utrecht. 

She investigated in what way and with what (online) media, the Open Wetlab can facilitate knowledge production and distribution on relevant techniques & methods from the life sciences.

Stephanie’s interests lie in tinkering, cooking, gardening, and in her spare time she is a volunteer at music venue EKKO in Utrecht. Her research focuses on the embodied experience of various cultural practices in technoscience, open source design, and playful technology such as 3D printers.
