Pieter van Boheemen and intern Iris de Vries will give a DIY participative workshop 'Hack your food' at the FOOD 2030 Conference in Brussels on 12 October 2016.
Hack your Food - DIY workshop
This workshop will provide an opportunity for participants to learn how citizens can contribute to designing Do-it-Yourself solutions relevant to agriculture and food security. It will provide insights and a hands-on opportunity to engage in 'biohacking' and 'DIY food' approaches employed in selected Fab Labs.
The participants in this workshop will make bioreactors to grow algae, which can supply proteines. The question is: would this contribute to the food supply in Europe?
Registrations for this workshop ended on 15 September 2016. The plenary session of the event FOOD 2030 will take place on 13 October with the participation of high level officials, industry, entrepreneurs, investors, policy makers, and civil society organisations.
