Marleen Stikker of Waag will speak on the first day of the Maker Faire Barcelona conferences as member of the Smart City Board Amsterdam on the topic 'The Future of Urban Manufacturing: Make in the City'.
Maiker Faire Barcelona is hosting a series of conferences and debates around the impact of technologies in the way we live, learn, work and play in cities. Barcelona and Catalunya are the home of a unique ecosystem in making, with its maker spaces, fab labs, research centers, private initiatives and a young vibrant community that needs to be celebrated and pushed to discuss with local and international experts in different fields of knowledge. With the support of Caixa Forum, Maker Faire Barcelona is offering to the city some of the best minds that are contributing to a better future for society through technology.
The full programme of the conferences can be found here.
Maker Faire Barcelona will be held from on 17th – 18th June at Fira Barcelona Montjuic, Pavellò Italià, and hosts the most inspired, talented and ambitious makers, enthusiastic to share all their knowledge and creativity through exhibitions, workshops, and interactive demos.
