The Amsterdam Fund for the Arts (AFK) has positively assessed Waag Futurelab's application for 2025-2028 and granted the full amount requested.
Earlier, Waag received a positive advice from the Culture Council for the same funding period. 'We are happy that the urgency of our mission and our work is recognised by both the Culture Council and the AFK,' says Marleen Stikker, founding director of Waag. 'In the coming years, too, we will work with makers, artists, scientists and residents towards a fair and inclusive future.' And as the AFK states: 'In doing so, Waag influences the course of society in its own way.'
