Thanks to an amendment by Reinder Rustema (of petities.nl), the concept election programme of the Dutch political party D66 now contains an adapted paragraph about the new (Dutch and European) electronic identity (eID). This is important to every citizen, as the new eID will replace the current identity system (DigID) in the coming years.
