David SchogtProject Developer

David is a project developer at Waag Futurelab. He works on various projects, with a focus on public tech: technology based on public values, with respect for individual freedoms, the democratic constitutional order and planetary boundaries.

David was previously strategic director of design studio Thonik. He also founded a number of tech start-ups (Cycleswap and Dyme). His eight years in the tech sector showed him the power of technology, but also how its impact is determined by who is at the design table and who is not.

At Waag, David uses his knowledge and experience to rearrange the design table. His vision is that technology should serve society, not the other way around.
