Iris is concept developer and researcher at Waag Futurelab. In the Code research group, she focuses on social issues around digitisation, participation and the democratisation of technology. Together with the target group, she focusses on complex social issues and unfolds what really matters. She integrates these perspectives into imaginative, interactive designs.
Previously, Iris worked as a social designer and researcher on various projects. From highlighting how our bodies are entangled with our phones through interactive games, to non-language communication through 'conversational football' and lego power pyramids, the goal is always to understand the world view and speak the language of the target audience.
Iris graduated in Digital Design from the Hogeschool van Amsterdam (Msc) & Business Administration from the Vrije Universiteit (Msc). She also holds a BA in Sociology & Political Science from Amsterdam University College.
