Mar Escarrabill is concept developer at Waags Commons Lab. Born in Barcelona, she landed to the Netherlands to discover new citizen participation initiatives and explore new forms of commoning.
She has been working in Barcelona in projects regarding Responsible Research and Innovation, bioethics and citizen participation. Moreover, she has organized Science Festivals and created science content for Science Museums. She has also been involved in bottom-up initiatives to promote community participation and mutual learning.
She studied Biology in the University of Barcelona and has a Master in Science Communication and a second one in Human Rights and Citizenship.
