CIIIC

Immersive Experiences (IX) like virtual reality, 360-degree videos, augmented reality, interactive animations and games are playing an increasingly important role in our lives. IX is seen as one of the main drivers of the third major digital transition, which is having a major impact on how we organize our lives, work, education and leisure.

The Ministry of Education Culture and Science created the Creative Industries Immersive Impact Coalition (CIIIC) program, and it stems from the need to empower the creative industries and content creators to seize opportunities around IX. Within this context, several development and research activities are being undertaken.

Commissioned by ClickNL and in cooperation with PublicSpaces and the Rathenau Institute, Waag Futurelab is working on securing public values within the implementation of the CIIIC program. To this end, best practices are being researched and shared, and a Code and Self Assessment is being developed.
