In January 2007, Creative Commons Netherlands published its first cd/dvd with work of Dutch artists that have chosen to use CC licensing for their work. From more than 130 contributions, thirteen songs where selected and seven videoclips, like Messier84 (winner of the contest 3Voor12 Plundert Musea) and We vs Death (finalist of the contest 'Grote Prijs van Nederland').

Earlier in 2006, Creative Commons called for participation in the cd/dvd. By using the free Creative Commons licences the makers will keep their copyright, but create conditions for re-using their work by others. The choice of the producer is vital within this process. All songs and videos on the cd and dvd were downloadable from the Creative Commons website.

At Waag, Björn Wijers and Paul Keller worked on the cd/dvd. The design, animation and authoring of the cd/dvd is from Job, Joris en Marieke. Two of the partcipants did win an iPod with all content van de cd/dvd.

Creative Commons stimulates legal re-use of creative work.
