Digital Museum Lab started

On February 2nd, 2016, the Digital Museum Lab has started.

The lab is a project of the Allard Pierson Museum in close cooperation with DEN, Waag and the University of Applied Sciences, Lectorate Crossmedia. It aspires to encourage experimentation, reflection and evaluation in the field of digital innovation within museums and other heritage institutions. The lab has a permanent setup in the museum to facilitate relevant and sustainable research in a real life setting. The Allard Pierson Museum is a logical location for such a platform, as the museum focuses on digital innovation and digital solutions that facilitate the presentation and accessibility of complex data.

In the first session we will look at interesting technology and trends. Next sessions will be announced through the Digital Museum MeetUp group. You can also find the programme there.

The Digital Museum Lab is supported by Mondriaan Fund.
