On February 3rd, the first 'Maakplaats' of the Amsterdam 021 project opened its doors at the Waterlandplein in Amsterdam North. This is a maker space for young inventors at the OBA (public library).
Amsterdam 021 is a scale-up of pioneering activities and efforts in the maker movement, maker education and the development of 21st century skills. Waag trains the employees of the public libraries in maker education and digital fabrication. Our FabSchool activities will also take place at the Maakplaats.
