Last week, the decision was made to let online taxi company Uber join the Amsterdam Economic Board. The company can now think about our city's economic policy. Too bad, because Uber is not interested in the Amsterdammer at all. On the contrary, the company is a school example of the so-called platform companies, which just like 'sharing company' AirBnB only parasitize on the public value of the city, without actually returning anything.
