The project Code for Europe strives to change the way in which government handles IT projects. But what does this program mean on a practical level?
Ivonne Jansen-Dings (Waag’s open data project manager) will run Code for Europe training sessions in Finland from the 22nd to 24th of September on behalf of Waag and Code for the Netherlands (codefor.nl). These training sessions will be about making structural changes within governments, building (civic hacker) movements, and measuring impact.
Fellow and policy maker training
On the 22nd of September, the three-day trip to Finland will begin with the Mindtrek Openmind conference in Tampera, an international forum about the future of open source, open data, and open content. One the 23rd and 24th of September, the Code for Europe training will be given at Forum Virium in Helsinki.
