This year our embodied learning installation will be part of the Cinekid Medialab. Visitors of the festival can try out the installation.
Cinekid annually organizes the Dutch Film, Television and New Media festival for the youth during the Autumn break. It traditionally takes place at the Westergasfabriek in Amsterdam (11 t/m 18 October) and at more than 30 locations throughout the country (11 t/m 26 October). Cinekid selects the most remarkable and educational media productions that are brought together at the festival and the medialab.
What is this embodied learning installation?
It is a series of balance objects for education aimed at raising awareness of your own body. The interaction between the body, movement and reflection is essential in this installation. A angular cylinder, rolling stairs and assymetrical skip are meant to stand upon. The technology in and around the objects gives visual and auditive feedback in the search for the right balance, posture and movement.
