Green Maker Space #1: Creating 'messy corners' for more biodiversity

The Green Maker Space is a new monthly open workspace from Waag at the Startup Village of Amsterdam Science Park. Here, we bring together neighbours, students, workers and researchers to have a look and listen to nature together. We'll be organising practical workshops in which we'll  playfully learn how to create a greener garden, street, and city environment. The Green Maker Space is for everyone who wants to dig deeper into urban ecology.

The first edition, we're going to build 'messy corners' under the guidance of Maurice van der Molen, who is an ecological artist. He creates ecological gardens and landscape objects under the name of  Groene Tenen. He is also a volunteer at permaculture-project Anna’s Tuin en Ruigte, located at Amsterdam Science Park. The 'messy corners' will enhance the biodiversity for the smallest creatures, micro organisms and insects.

We have a capacity of 20 people! The workshop will be held in Dutch.
