On Thursday 28 January 2021, Waag's director Marleen Stikker will officially be inaugurated as professor of practice at the University of Applied Sciences in Amsterdam (Hogeschool voor Amsterdam, HvA). The ceremony will take place between 16:00-17:00 hrs and is open for attendance via livestream. Register with HvA to gain access to the livestream.
Starting January 2021, Marleen will lead a project focused on the transformation towards a digital society, helping to shape this transformation in close collaboration with the University of Applied Sciences. The HvA in turn enriches her research practices and education with new insights in the realm of open, fair and inclusive technology.
HvA works with professors of practice to inspire them on strategic subjects, both topically and focused on the future. Marleen Stikker is the second professor of practice to commit to HvA. Kate Raworth, economist known for her circular economy theory called 'donut economy', was first to commit to HvA as professor of practice.
