Amsterdam-Noord houses a lot of the city's makerspaces for small, individual craftsmanship. In the Centrinno project, Pakhuis de Zwijger, the Hout- en Meubileringscollege and Waag are researching the meaning of makers for the city. How can we make sure makerspaces stay part of the city, with the ongoing building of (expensive) apartments in Noord? And what can makers and their neighbours mean to each other or do for each other?
Every month, we open the doors of a makerspace in Noord. On 6 April, join us at Ydefix Schaverij! Have a look around, get to work, and join the conversation on the importance of making.
