On June 26, join us at 17:00 hrs outside the Van Abbemuseum in Eindhoven for the opening of Vortex Harmonies by Arcangelo Constantini: an open-air installation that combines art and science to restore water quality.
The installation is the result of Constantini's residency at Waag Futurelab. It explores the intersection of sound, sustainable technology, and water ecology. Vortex Harmonies harnesses Schauberger-inspired vortex dynamics, shaped through mathematical patterns and powered by a wind turbine, to improve water quality in the pond outside the Van Abbemuseum.

About the artist
Arcangelo Constantini is an artistic inventor and pioneer of the Media Arts in Mexico. He challenges scientific and mystical paradigms, hacking functional and obsolete technologies to engage in philosophical dialogues and constructing experimental artefacts.
About the residency
From October 2024 until June 2025, Constantini was artist-in-residence at Waag, researching water infrastructure and quality. The residency is part of the S+T+ARTS4Water programme, in which Waag brings artists, scientists, and local water authorities together to address urgent water challenges through creative solutions. The project is organised by Waag, in collaboration with Waterschap De Dommel and Wetsus, addressing ecological challenges through creative collaboration.
