The problem is with the apps, the operating system and the hardware, and it affects your privacy, your health, and the health of our planet. Visit the Fix Your Phone Shop by Waag Futurelab at Dutch Design Week and learn what to do to fix it! The Fix Your Phone Shop can be found outside the Klokgebouw, on the central Ketelhuisplein, where the entrance to DDW is also located.

Waag Futurelab has signed the manifesto <a href="https://peoplevsbig.tech/beyond-big-tech-a-manifesto-for-a-new-digital-economy/" target="_blank">Beyond Big Tech: A manifesto for a new digital economy</a>. Together with more than 70 other organisations, Waag calls on the EU and other states to invest in a fair and open digital economy.In addition to calling for stricter regulations for tech giants, the manifesto also urges major investments in an open, fair and public infrastructure that serves the interests of the people. This ties in with Waag's mission to design according to public values ​​and invest in technology that is open source, privacy-friendly and decentralised.

At Waag Futurelab we are looking for a concept developer/researcher for the Code team. Do you notice an increasing dependence on technology in society? Do you approach the digitalising world with optimism but are you not blind to its downside? And do you want to contribute to an inclusive, fair and transparent design of technology? Apply with us!
