Ola BonatiConcept Developer

Ola Bonati is a concept developer on the Life team within the Designing Regenerative Technologies project. Her work explores alternatives to tech dystopia, seeking kinder, more sustainable practices for both people and the planet.

Previously, she has worked as a researcher, storyteller, and designer, creating critical media pieces on the role of big tech in everyday life. Since joining the permacomputing community in 2021, she has been actively engaged in workshops and talks, introducing creative professionals and the public to this regenerative approach to technology.

NodeNet

NodeNet is a pilot project in which Waag examines mesh network technology as a solution in case the traditional communication infrastructure in Amsterdam fails. The research focuses on both technical feasibility and the user perspective on the basis of various scenarios.
