Digit-Able
Digit-Able aims to strengthen the digital capacities and skills of social enterprises and their vulnerable target groups, with a specific focus on organisations providing services or employment to people with disabilities.
The project focuses on removing the barriers that social enterprises and vulnerable groups experience when using digital tools and technologies. In doing so, we aim to promote digital transition for a group in society that is in great need of it. Through national and transnational focus groups, we identify their digital needs and opportunities for development. We then develop a comprehensive training programme and a cross-border oriented MOOC (Massive Online Open Course).
We also create a digital innovation hub together with De Omslag were we offer training a programme that connects social enterprises with organisations committed to and digitalisation and knowledge of (new) technology. Not only does this accelerate the digital transition of social enterprises, it also promotes the wider integration of open, fair and inclusive technologies and contributes to the development of digital social innovations.
