Nieuwsflits! (News flash) was an online editing tool for primary schools, that could be used in the Persmuseum in Amsterdam. Children were able to create and edit newspages, that were published online.

Every subject in the application had a statement that the pupils could agree of disagree with. Around this statement an article could be written. Using the journalistic rule of the five W's - who, what, where, when and why - pupils could use text, photography, sound of video fragments to edit their digital newspaper. Finally the 'journalists' published their articles on the internet, for everybody to look at and read.

The Nieuwsflits! tool could be used by schools when visiting the Persmuseum, within an educational programme and was aimed at the highest classes of primary education, their teachers and educational staff. It was the last project to run on the KidsEye educational software platform, developed by Waag.
