In 2009, the project Tijdgeest started, an educational cultural heritage project of Foundation Tijdgeest and Waag. In 2010, PWN Waterleidingbedrijf Noord-Holland joined as a partner.

Adventurous learning, living heritage

Aim of this project to create a strong involvement with the subject among pupils. The approach can best be described as 'adventurous learning'. Pupils are dragged into the story and are gathering information in a playful manner, both in the virtual world and in real life.

It all starts with a secret adventure to discover a mysterious object and a hunt for information. All pieces of information are collected on a website. A secure part of the website is accessible for teachers to give online support.

Serious multi reality adventure

Waag used its expertise in the field and the technical know-how behind the internet services for this 'serious multireality adventure'. The complete online experience in the so-called 'House of the Past' has been designed and developed by Waag.

The concept came from Stichting Tijdgeest, a collective of theatre makers, educational specialists, historians and filmmakers.
