Carebot Giraffe on TV

In the childrens tv show ZappLive, we regularly present technological innovative concepts. Concepts such as Giraffe: a robot that lets you make video calls, amongst other things. Since this provides users with both sound and visuals, it enables for instance children who are chronically ill to join classes from their bed.

Giraffe is designed by Stichting Smart Homes and is part of the exhibition ‘De Gezonde Mens', about health as a design domain. Curator Sabine Wildevuur, head of our Creative Care Lab, shows with this exhibition how technology, innovation and design have affected the care sector in the course of history. Now, Giraffe makes a special trip to the studios of ZappLive, where Lukie Stalenhoef discovers together with the children what the robot can do and what the benefits of robotics for care can be.

The exhibition 'De Gezonde Mens' can be visited until January 5 2014 in the Design in Eindhoven.
