Exhibition Still Unidentified Objects

In the exhibition Still Unidentified Objects Transnatural explores new, still ‘unidentified’ forms of collaboration between man, machine and nature. The exhibition looks at fresh ideas & design ending up in new results by joint forces and combined smartness with benefits for all parties involved (rather than just for humans).

DMY Award winners Svenja Keune presents her project Emotional Dialogue. These beautiful, fascinating, communicating textile objects transform as soon as they’ve detected the emotional state of its observer.

Marjan van Aubel’s Energy collection explores the possibilities of energy harvesting from everyday objects. The cabinet's drinking glasses are made from special glass that work similar to solar cells. The glasses charge the cabinet and it can function as an energy source for powering telephones or lights for example. With the Energy collection project Marjan won the DOEN Material price 2012.

Contemporary Vanitas plays with the inconvenient truth of life being transient and imperfect, we all get older and eventually die. During life people sever material too. Thomas Vailley explores the realistic options of creating new materials  and objects from human leftovers, and uses hair as ingredient.

Like living organisms is an interactive skindress that expresses excitement between two people when they first meet. At the opening the performer will intimately approach the audience to register how excited they are.
