The biggest maker festival of the Netherlands is coming up. MakerEducation.nl and Maker Faire Eindhoven will be presenting the best that the maker industry and maker education have to offer from the 28th until the 30th of September. From do-it-yourself inventions to new technologies, from junior tinkerer to professional maker. Everyone who wants to learn by making is welcome.
The festival kick-off on Friday 28th of September presents the Dutch edition of the Fablearn education conference. We invite teachers, librarians, school board management, makers and scientists to join us. Key spokespeople from the educational and science field will teach, present and discuss the best practices of digital fabrication, the maker movement and new teaching tools.
The educational program is organised by MakerEducation.nl. Prior to the event, a maker challenge will be set out on primary and secondary schools and demonstrated during the Maker Faire Eindhoven.
Maker Faire Eindhoven is a family-friendly festival that has been visited by over 10.000 people in the past five years. During this festival the focus is on inventing, creativity and ingenuity. It's a true celebration of the maker movement.
You can try your hand at 3D printing, building and remotely controlling robots, upcycling, food making, hacking, building installations and participate in many workshops, masterclassses or meetups. From entertainment to installations, everything on the Faire is built for and by makers.
The Fablearn conference is primarily aimed at Dutch education, but with international speakers.
