Waag's Open Wetlab is present at the SXSW (South by Southwest) 2015 festival in Austin, Texas (USA). Our biotechnology lab will present five projects at the festival, on invitation of the Fund Creative Industries NL: Do It Together Bio, In Vitro Futures, Biostrike, Trust me, I'm an artist and Hack the Brain.
The fund asked makers from e-culture, film and the game industry to come with a proposal for one of the three parts of the programme at SXSW 2015.
South by Southwest (SXSW) is a set of film, interactive, and music festivals and conferences that take place early each year in mid-March. It began in 1987, and has continued to grow in both scope and size every year.
