Strengthen your initiative in the acceleration programme for the community economy

Are you working on a housing cooperative, food initiative, energy collective or other initiative, and are you encountering challenges? Or would you like to further develop your initiative and could you use some help? Sign up for the acceleration programme of MeentCoop and AmsterDOEN!

In November, MeentCoop and AmsterDOEN are launching an acceleration programme for initiators in Amsterdam, such as housing or energy cooperatives, food initiatives and other community organisations with a development question or challenge. During this tailor-made programme, you will work together with other initiators on your own question with the support of MeentCoop and AmsterDOEN (Municipality of Amsterdam).

About the programme

The aim of the acceleration programme is to help initiators with their challenges and/or development needs. MeentCoop and AmsterDOEN will create a tailor-made programme with expertise, tools and support. The programme focuses on existing initiatives and offers:

  • Support with your development question
  • Access to knowledge, tools and expertise
  • Exchange with other initiatives
  • A place within the MeentCoop network

During five workshops between November 2025 and March 2026, we will work on your development needs. The workshops will last approximately half a day each.

You can register until Thursday 9 October 2025 via the website of MeentCoop.

About MeentCoop

Amsterdam is full of initiative. Residents organise themselves out of concern for each other or around common goals such as affordable energy, local food, and improving safety. All these initiatives are part of a larger movement towards a community economy: an economy that serves the community and where the well-being of people and their environment are the starting point.

MeentCoop is an Amsterdam-based cooperative committed to the development of the community economy. MeentCoop helps citizens, entrepreneurs and governments to further unite. The MeentCoop network consists of experts, municipal employees, initiatives and cooperatives in Amsterdam. MeentCoop was founded by Waag Futurelab, Commons Network, KasKantine, Oranje Energie, 02025, HvA Centre for Economic Transformation, StadmakersCooperatie, Stichting SW-SL and Ru Paré.
