Waag at Ars Electronica 2020: re-watch Kepler's expedition to the gardens of planet B

As part of the Ars Electronica 2020 festival, Waag organised Kepler's expedition to the garden of planet B, a program to happen live with a very limited audience on site of Waag’s planet B location at the Amsterdam Science park and its fringes, where it touches former now unused farmland with its growing biodiversity. The program was streamed live to Ars Electronica’s audiences. It consisted of demonstrations and expeditions, presentations and discussions.

During our first night of roundtable conversations on Friday 11 September, Lucas Evers of Waag moderated conversations between:

  • Artist Christiaan Zwanikken and curator of ecology related arts Alice Smits of Zone2Source about city dwelling plant robots.
  • Artist-in-residence Esmee Geerken and PhD Marloes Bistervels on Esmee's research at the planet B lab.
  • Artist Saša Spačal and microbiologist professor Toby Kiers on microbial trade agreements.
