Waag | Better Future Now

Although consuming might make us happy, the end of uncontrollable growth of economies is near. We see an increase in both climate destruction and the gap between rich and poor. Is capitalism - our economic system aimed at efficiency, profit and growth - nearing its final days? And if so, what would be a suitable alternative?

Changing one economic system for another is not something that happens overnight. That's why Waag decided to turn it into a game. Even better: we organise a four-day festival aimed at playing games, considering their rules and then breaking them all! Come find us from 22-25 September on various locations in Amsterdam.

All events are free, except for the dinner. For some workshops and tours registration is needed. Otherwise they are free to access.
For the Music Makes Change programme, we ask visitors to plan an hour of voluntary work with one of the participating organisations.
