During GLUE 2026, Waag Futurelab is hosting 6 artists and designers, showcasing how design can scratch at the surface of larger themes. Our designed world is broken, can we fix it? At least we can mend, patch, hack and repair.
Waag Futurelab is a platform for art and design that wants to effect change in the world. This 4th edition of GLUE, Waag is once again a Hub for multiple designers, opening up its historic building and showing what some futures might look like.
With works by DuctTape Collective, Mary Ann Jaraisy, Sixin Zeng, Tai-Yi Yu, Marie Vilay, Tjep.
These artists ask how machines, objects and gestures come to hold human feeling. Moving between the playful and the elegiac, visitors are invited to consider what it means to care, to grieve and to pay attention in a world increasingly lived through screens and across borders.

About GLUE
GLUE Amsterdam is a city-wide design route that takes place this year from 17–19 September 2026. Across three days, more than 150 designers, studios, galleries, academies and cultural institutions open their doors to the public with exhibitions, talks, installations and tours, creating a living portrait of Amsterdam's design scene. Waag Futurelab is a proud Cultural Partner of GLUE, and its programme is one stop on the route.
