We are facing a huge challenge with the climate crisis. However, for many people this is not new information. But where do you start if you want to do something about it? For many people, it feels like a problem that is too big and difficult to start working on by themself.
In the book ‘Alledaags activisme: van onrust naar daadkracht in het klimaat tijdperk’, climate philosopher and activist Chris Julien offers a perspective for exactly this struggle in our role in the big climate issue. Through scientific, philosophical and personal insights, he shows that we can do much more than we think: there are numerous opportunities for systemic change in our everyday life. That way, you can move forward into the climate era with good cheer - whether it is on the road, in a meeting room or a sports canteen (or all three!).
At Waag Open, Julien will give an interactive lecture about the book, followed by a collaborative discussion, in which he addresses how you can apply everyday activism in your own life.

Waag Open
Waag Open is the monthly public programme focused on today's themes. We organise various workshops and present collaborations between scientists, designers and artists. Once a month, Waag opens her doors for programmes that can be attended by anyone and everyone.
