What would you like to see on your library's social media? Waag Futurelab and the Royal Library of the Netherlands (KB) are looking for library visitors and members to help shape the library's digital future. For this, we need your help!
The library is a public space where people come together, discover stories and share knowledge. But how could this space look like in the digital world?
What kind of topics, stories or activites would you like to see online? How can we make the library's online space welcoming, safe and engaging for everyone? Together with the Royal Library of the Netherlands, Waag is exploring how libraries can create meaningful online spaces that reflect the needs of their visitors and members. To create this environment, we need your input.
What will we do?
During an interactive workshop, we will discuss the library's online presence together. We will explore questions such as:
- what do you expect from the library's social media and online channels?
- which topics, stories, and activities would you like to see online?
- what works well (and what does not work) on social media according to you?
- how can we create an online environment together that is welcoming, accessible, and safe?
Who is this for and who is involved?
We are looking for visitors and members of public libraries who would like to share their thoughts about the future of the library's online presence. You do not need to be an expert in social media or actively follow the library's online channels. Your experiences and perspectives as a regular visitor or member are valuable.
This workshop is organised by Waag Futurelab on behalf of the National Library of the Nederlands (Koninklijke Bibliotheek). The insights gathered will help libraries develop an online presence that better connects with their audiences.
