At the website of designboom architecture I found a post about the Vietnamese pavilion for the Expo in Milan in 2015. It consists of a number of bamboo structures of which the form immediatelely reminded me of the Hypermud open design object that we created during PICNIC '11 in three days time.
The Vietnamese variant, designed by the architects Vo Trong Ngia will be build in a shallow pond and has trees on top, that should be creating an attractive cool micro climate. This lead to the following comment by a visitor at designboom: "Please consider that, unlike in Vietnam, a large surface of still water will attract lots of mosquitos in Milan."
