Waag proudly presents the Academy Show at Waag! Come and admire the exhibition and presentations of the students of the ‘22 edition of the BioHack Academy. Everyone is welcome to join and toast on our brand new biohackers. The TextileLab is also opened for visits, and you're welcome to join a Hybrid Lab Network presentation.

BioHack Academy
At the yearly BioHack Academy, students learn the basics of biotechnology in a 10-week course: how to build your own open source laboratory, how to grow your own living materials and how to do genetic modification using the CRISPR-Cas9 technique. If you’re curious to join next year: it’s possible to subscribe to the list.
Fabricademy at TextileLab Amsterdam
Waag’s TextileLab will also be open to visit. Find out more about the yearly Fabricademy, a Textile Academy with a focus on the development of new technologies applied in the textile industry, in its broad range of applications, from the fashion industry and the upcoming wearable market. It's already possible to apply for next year's Fabricademy at Waag's TextileLab.
Hybrid Lab Network
Prior to the Academy Show, you’re welcome to the launch of a new innovative educational course from the Hybrid Lab Network. This course is the result of a two year collaboration between universities and Life Sciences research labs across Europe on how to develop creative experiments using genetic engineering, including CRISPR-Cas9. The course aims to open up genetic engineering to artists, designers, and the public at large. We'll have an international video call with the partners, that will be shared on this page on Thursday 12 May at 15:00 hrs. An offline event-registration allows you to join offline.
