Artsformation Open Call for artists!

Artsformation is a European project that researches how art and artists can play a role in making digital technologies more open, fair, and inclusive. Discriminating algorithms, digital illiteracy, surveillance capitalism and the power of social media platforms are just a few challenges to tackle.

Submit your idea via this link before 29 April 2022!

About the open call

Disinformation, privacy, surveillance and filter bubbles: we live in digital worlds that need fixing and re-imagining. We believe that artists can play an important role in tackling major social and technological issues, since they think and work critically, playfully, rebellious and creatively. Artsformation is thus looking for artists who would like to create a new work on the intersection of art, technology and society. We offer two artists or collectives a work grant of 5.000 euros. Your work will also be exhibited, and promoted through Waag's channels.

Deadline: 23:59 (CET) on Friday 29th April 2022
