Maptime #14 with Aurelia Moser

Aurelia Moser is a developer based in New York and a curious cartographer building communities around code at the Mozilla Science Lab. She developed open source mapping software at CartoDB and teaches data visualization courses. This week she will be in the Netherlands and she decided to pay us a visit!

So make sure you take the evening off for her, because she will tell us all about her experience as a developer and mapper! We will start the evening at 19:00, bring your laptop and your questions!

Around 19:30, Aurelia will give a presentation. Afterwards we will do her workshop Web Mapping with Open Source Tools and Styling data. Starting for beginners, and then work to some more complicated tools in JS/PostGres/CartoCSS.

Aurelia will bring some copies of her book on maps for you to see.

Feel free to talk to her, show her you own projects and ask her all your questions over some beers! Maptime is BYOB (and food). Tea and coffee is provided, but you're welcome to bring your own beer, drinks, snacks or dinner to the Waag.
