Julia JansenConcept Developer

Julia is a concept developer at Waag. She researches and contributes to new forms of commoning as part of the Commons Lab. In her work, Julia combines creativity and curiosity, and strives to find how we can make the world a fairer place.

Previously, Julia worked as a researcher for the Rathenau Instituut. Here, she focused on the governance of knowledge development for societal challenges and digital democracy. Julia graduated in Urban Studies (MSc) and Sociology (BSc) with minors in Anthropology and Computer Science from the University of Amsterdam.

Atelier is a five-year project funded by the European Commission that focuses on shaping energy-positive neighbourhoods. Residents, local stakeholders and companies will work together in these neighbourhoods to create a local energy system that generates energy sustainably.
