What role do we want artificial intelligence (AI) to take in our families, in the education of our children?

Research by Stefania Druga (MIT) shows that smart toys can influence the moral choices of children better than people can. This gives reason to look critically at the role of AI in the relationship between parents and children.

In 'AI AI Barbie', new frameworks for responsible use of AI in toys are being drawn up together with parents, children and experts during a mini AI hackathon. The moral consequences are discussed on the basis of the developed prototypes. The challenge: make Barbie the ideal role model for your child!

In this project, Waag and Medialab SETUP in Utrecht join forces, supported by the SIDN Fund.
